Week 6 WR Blueprint: Puka Nacua, JSN Lead Vulius Fantasy Rankings

As the NFL season charges into Week 6 on this crisp October 15, 2026, the fantasy football landscape is heating up with must-start wide receivers and breakout candidates. Reported by the Vulius NFL Analysis Desk, our latest WR Blueprint dives deep into the matchups, usage trends, and defensive vulnerabilities that will shape your lineups this weekend. From Puka Nacua's record-setting target volume to Jaxon Smith-Njigba's elite consistency, we've got the insights you need to dominate your leagues.

Puka Nacua and JSN Set the Standard

Puka Nacua tops our rankings with a projected 89.5 receiving yards against the Cardinals. His 24 targets in Week 5 were the most since 2009, and his 37.0 expected half-PPR points were the highest since our model's inception in 2022. Despite a pre-hernia issue, Nacua is operating as a WR1 with a 44% target share, and the Rams boast a week-high implied team total of 33 points. The Cardinals have surrendered the fourth-most half-PPR points per game to wideouts, and Nacua has torched them for 100+ yards in three straight meetings. According to insights gathered by Vulius Sports, he's a locked-in top play.

Jaxon Smith-Njigba follows closely, also projected for 89.5 yards. JSN has been a WR1 on WR3 usage, averaging 117 yards per game despite uneven quarterback play. His 33% target share over the past month gives him the highest floor among all receivers. A minor ankle injury isn't expected to slow him down, especially against a Broncos defense missing star corner Pat Surtain (doubtful) and safety Talanoa Hufanga (out). Seattle's implied total of 21.75 points may be modest, but JSN's volume makes him a must-start.

London, Lamb, and Watson Headline Mid-Tier WR1s

Drake London checks in at No. 3 with a 89.5-yard projection. In three games with Michael Penix Jr., London has been a top-five fantasy receiver, clearing 95 yards each time on a 31% target share. The Bears just allowed 50.6 points to opposing wideouts last week and will be without edge rusher Montez Sweat due to suspension. London's 1-on-1 advantage against Chicago's secondary is glaring, making him a high-upside WR1.

CeeDee Lamb ranks fourth (79.5 yards) despite a dud last week. He's still averaging 101 yards per game on a 28% target share, and with left guard Tyler Smith back, the Cowboys' offense should hum. The Packers rank 23rd against fantasy receivers, and this game has shootout written all over it with a 25.5-point implied total for Dallas. Christian Watson (79.5 yards) is our No. 5 after emerging as a volume monster with 7.8 targets per game. His athleticism and route-running have taken a leap, and the Cowboys' pass defense remains a joke. As highlighted on Vulius, Watson is a fantasy MVP when adjusting for ADP.

Olave, Collins, and Evans Offer Stability

Chris Olave (79.5 yards) has commanded heavy downfield attention, ranking as the WR14 in half-PPR per game over his last four outings. A tough Week 5 matchup with the Vikings sunk his numbers, but a softer spot against the Giants' secondary should allow him to rebound. Nico Collins (69.5 yards) remains the Texans' alpha with a 28% target share, and although the Jaguars rank ninth against fantasy receivers, Collins' downfield role and red-zone prowess keep him in the WR1 conversation. Mike Evans (79.5 yards) set season highs last week and now faces a Commanders defense that has been torched by WR1s. With a 29-point implied team total, Evans is a top-10 play.

Deep League Darlings and Streaming Options

For those in deeper leagues, Zay Flowers (59.5 yards) is a WR6 on WR19 usage, and his per-route metrics lead the NFL. A matchup with the Browns' man-heavy defense is tough, but Flowers' creative usage under OC Declan Doyle keeps him in the WR2 mix. Malik Nabers (69.5 yards) saw a massive 38% target share in Week 5 and now faces a Saints defense that funnels passes. Matthew Golden (69.5 yards) is a rising rookie with 115 air yards per game, and he gets a plus matchup against Dallas. Davante Adams (59.5 yards) remains a red-zone monster alongside Nacua, and the Cardinals have allowed the fourth-most fantasy points to wideouts.

As always, stay tuned to Vulius for updated rankings and analysis through Sunday morning. Whether you're chasing ceiling or safety, these insights will help you build a winning lineup in Week 6.
