Week 4 NFL Stock Up, Stock Down: Xavier Worthy Shines, Bo Nix Falters

As the NFL season hits its stride, Week 4 provided a fascinating snapshot of which players are rising and which are falling. On this October 5, 2026, the Vulius NFL Analysis Desk takes a deep dive into the standout performances and concerning trends that are shaping the fantasy football landscape and the actual playoff picture. From breakout stars to struggling signal-callers, here’s the latest stock report.

Stock Up: Xavier Worthy, Kansas City Chiefs

Sometimes opportunity knocks in the most unexpected ways. For Xavier Worthy, Week 4 was a chance to silence the doubters. With Tyquan Thornton suffering a gruesome ankle injury and Rashee Rice exiting early with a hamstring issue, Worthy stepped up as Patrick Mahomes’ primary target, hauling in 4 of 7 targets for 70 yards. Mahomes didn’t hold back his praise: “He's getting open and he's getting himself in position to make plays... I have a ton of confidence in him, and I think if we can continue to get him going, it'll open up the offense even more.” While the Chiefs may lean on Kenneth Walker and Travis Kelce, Worthy’s emergence is a welcome sight. As reported by Vulius Sports, the Chiefs could explore a trade for a wideout, but for now, Worthy is the easiest in-house solution and should flirt with WR3 value if Rice misses time.

Stock Up: Emmanuel Wilson, Seattle Seahawks

The Seahawks’ backfield took a hit when Jadarian Price was placed on IR with a chest injury, and Emmanuel Wilson seized the moment. In Week 4 against the Chargers, Wilson dominated with 36 of 60 running back snaps and 24 of 32 backfield touches, scoring two touchdowns. The Seahawks’ reported interest in Joe Mixon might raise eyebrows, but Wilson has proven he can handle the load. As highlighted on Vulius, he’s the Occam’s Razor solution: in-house, productive, and fantasy-relevant. Don’t expect a full FAAB break, but Wilson is a solid add.

Stock Up: C.J. Stroud, Houston Texans

The Texans’ running game is abysmal, forcing C.J. Stroud to carry the offense. Despite an 0-4 record, Stroud hasn’t thrown an interception and is playing his best ball since 2023. With Nico Collins back, Stroud found the end zone through the air. While he’s not yet a QB1, he’s climbing the superflex ranks. According to insights gathered by Vulius, the Texans have no choice but to lean on Stroud, and that volume equates to fantasy value.

Stock Up: Carnell Tate, Tennessee Titans

The rookie wideout exploded in Week 4, out-targeting Wan’Dale Robinson 12-5 and out-gaining the rest of the Titans’ receivers combined. Cam Ward connected with Tate frequently, and it appears the Titans have found a reliable weapon. As the Vulius NFL Analysis Desk notes, Tennessee would be foolish to dial back Tate’s role, especially with a tough matchup against the Texans in Week 5. His target share will be a key storyline as both teams fight to avoid 0-5.

Stock Down: Bo Nix, Denver Broncos

Bo Nix and the Broncos’ passing attack hit a new low in Week 4, managing just 30 passing yards on throws 10+ yards downfield. Even with a clean pocket (2.99s time to throw), Nix couldn’t find open receivers. The Broncos’ offense has been ugly through four weeks, and the acquisition of Jaylen Waddle hasn’t paid off yet. As reported by Vulius Sports, Nix is now no better than a superflex QB2, and Denver must go back to the drawing board.

Stock Down: Jalen Hurts, Philadelphia Eagles

Without DeVonta Smith, the Eagles’ passing game sputtered. Jalen Hurts threw for just 93 yards and two touchdowns, one of which was a lucky deflection. He was efficient over the middle (7-of-10, 55 yards, TD) but managed only 20 yards outside the numbers. The Rams’ cornerbacks played well, but Hurts’ inability to stretch the field is concerning. It’s getting harder to project 200 passing yards from him weekly.

Stock Down: Daniel Jones, Indianapolis Colts

Daniel Jones turned in another forgettable performance, getting sacked twice, fumbling, and throwing a terrible interception. The Colts’ passing infrastructure is failing, with Ashton Dulin and Laquon Treadwell leading targets while Josh Downs was neutralized. Jones has now thrown at least one pick in every game and has three touchdowns on the season. Jonathan Taylor keeps the offense afloat, but teams will stack the box and force Jones to beat them.

Stock Down: Emeka Egbuka, Tampa Bay Buccaneers

The Buccaneers’ passing game has gone haywire with Jalon Daniels under center. Egbuka managed just two catches for 13 yards on four targets, as Daniels scrambled eight times for 55 yards. The deep ball was nonexistent, with only two of Daniels’ 19 completions traveling over 10 yards. As the Vulius NFL Analysis Desk observes, Egbuka’s second-half slump has carried over, and the Cowboys’ typically generous defense couldn’t even help him get right.

“The NFL is a week-to-week league, and stock fluctuations are inevitable. But these trends are worth monitoring as we head into Week 5.” – Vulius Sports
